It’s usually not a tradition of my family to name things we are thankful for. My family  tends to like normal people thank God during prayer everyday with things he has blessed us with and things we are thankful for.

2. I’m very thankful for the family and friends I have been blessed with. Without them I don’t know where I would be.

3. I’m thankful for my God and Savior. Considering how much grace he has shown us sinners.

4. I’m thankful for the healthy body I have been given.

5. I’m thankful for the christian home I live in and christian education I have recieved.

So it’s November 6, and today is the quarterfinal game against BHRV. This game determines whether we’ll make it to the dome. For those of you that have no idea what I’m talking about, I am talking about the fabulous sport of football. The dome is located in Cedar Falls, IA and it is UNI’s home football field. Semi-finals, Finals, and Championship games are played here. Straying from that, throughout the week I have been listening to peoples predictions and anticipations of this game. Some say we’ll win and others say we’ll lose. Well of course me being a Western student I’m rootin for us to win. I think we definitely have the potentional to beat this team. We’ve met up with them once before this season and only lost by 10 so …who knows….

What is a digital footprint? A digital footprint is things people can find about you on the Internet, and such websites like Myspace and Facebook. Like all things there are positive and negative things about topics. To tell you truthfully, I found absolutely nothing on myself on the internet. I tried everything from Bing, Ask.com, to Google and nothing showed up. Though I do not a have a digital footprint, I do believe that a positive footprint would be things like accomplishements such as a Dean’s List, awards, and etc. This world is imperfect too, and people put out negative footprints like pictures of them on Facebook obviously drinking underage and degrading stuff. I remember one girl I went to school with had a picture up of her drinking, and her mother was in the background cleaning up the beer cans :S …not good. Most all of our age know how to run about the Internet, but not all think with their brain, so I believe teachers, parents, and law enforcement should be responsible for showing us the rights and wrongs of the Internet. Personal information I have on profiles ususally are only availible to my friends only and like for example on Facebook, it won’t release any information of mine, and if you try to add me it won’t let me know. So only I control who my personal information goes out to. The only exception I do give my more personal information when registaring are sites such as Eastbay, Hollister, and Itunes only required to purchase items. Concluding this you shouldn’t give any information on the Internet that you wouldn’t want a teacher, employer, or parent to see, believe it or not employers do use these sites to decide whether or not they want you as an employee.

So, on Friday October 30th, I decided to be daring and go see the movie everyone has been talking about around school. People talked about some people almost fainting, and others freaked out. Thinking people were exaggerating I bought a ticket and headed into it. Yeah people weren’t exaggerating it was creepy, freaky, and with people with little tolerance for creepy things ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING! Needless to say I whimped out and walked out. I’m not saying it was bad, but like earlier I don’t have a rough enough interior or exterior for movies like that. It’s a great movie if you wanna a thrill, or end up sleeping with both eyes open .. . Well ending on this note here’s a link so you can check it out before you decide to buy a ticket and waste it by walking out. Now I feel gay because it wasn’t that bad. I think it was the whole demon thing that creeped me out the most.

Most assignments in College Comp are easy to finish and do, except this one. We are to write sentences using the commonly mistaken words, for you to easily understand the difference between each.

Everyday we accept and exchange gifts with someone else, everyone except you recieves them. Though this exclusion doesn’t affect me. It’s an effect of things you have done wrong to people. Already to exchange, you sit among us, but you can tell there is a separation between us. We all can see as your breath gets heavier when you breathe. You’re conscious of why you don’t have a gift. Though you’re conscious of it our conscience is dead. How can conduct such a illicit and undecent activity? I’m surprised you haven’t deserted this yet. As the days get  further and further we see you less. Maybe things would be different if you were more vocally elicit  with the situation. I feel bad as I lie on my bed thinking about what led me to act against my principales. Through all this I apologize so that you may be at peace with me.

All I can say is true. Pertaining to the whole software they use to watch for students plagiarism is honestly a good idea. However, with our generation when we are given a assignment with something we don’t know much about, our likelyhood is to go to Google to research. We may not take the research word for word, but most take that basic idea. Older generations used encyclopedias, magazines, and text books to research on a subject to learn it and take that basic idea. So is it the same as us taking it from the internet? I think absolutely, older people seem to always point out the flaw in our generation. I just think this is another way to point their fingers at us. As we get older we know to cite quotes or ideas from the original site or text. I do see that there is some students that slack off and plagiarise, but that shouldn’t give the teacher the right to punish the rest of the class. Finally, I do understand the whole article, but the sad truth is the author probably had once comitted this crime, don’t have anything to back that up ….but honestly do you think anyone has not. I mean let’s think logically here.

Interests, well I’m stumped. There is so many things I could put on here, but so little time. One interest is music. I love listening to music. I also love to be updated on music to, people can only listen to Boom Boom Pow for so long. Even though I’m not the most athletic or even close to looking like one at my school, I LOVE SPORTS!! Whether it’s reading, writing, or playing a sport the thrill excites me. Other interests don’t seem to come to mind. I know this sounds queer but I love to dance…pom, jazz, even hip hop. It one of the many interests I hide, but now I’m sharing it with some people I don’t even know. Well any who here’s some links for you to explore my interests.

Today I decided to be adventurous and go to another study hall table today. As I sat there out of the little speaker of one of the study hall computers outcame Fireflies by Owl City. Did you know these guys come from not far from us Iowans, in Minnesota! While Amber and me were “jammin” to this song; Jodi one of our friends commented that she hates the song, because the music video is weird and creepy.  Honestly I think that music video makes the song even more appealing than it already is so here’s the link. Well so far only 2 people have commented on my posts. I don’t really have a certain criteria of what comments I approve. The point of commenting is to get your opinion of the post out there, so the whole queer thing about banning comments on own posts that may not be necessarly totally ok is ridiculous. Our opinions should be shown, unless someone is totally and wrongfully offended by it. Critical comments on spelling and punctuation is ok with me.
